A mix of multimedia and reading material, both online and offline, will provide the basis for discussions of topical and often controversial subjects. The discussed subjects can involve culture, politics and literature of English-speaking countries such as Britain, America and others, but are also open to global and societal issues of interest to the participants.
Typically participants score over 80 per cent in the
B2 Placement Test
on www.vhs-essen.de/einstufung.
You will need to have an email-address so that material under discussion can be sent to you in advance.
You will be expected to prepare for course sessions in order to maximise speaking time!
